What we do…
A primary goal of the Foundation is to furnish equipment and funding to promote our mission such as support boats and boating trailers for travel to regattas, and through scholarships. Sailing education and program/regatta sponsorship are also key outreach aspects of the Foundation.

How we do it...

ReClam the Bay
The Foundation is supporting the shellfish restoration program in Barnegat Bay by helping fund the addition of an “upweller” nursery just off our docks. This process improves the clams survival rate into maturity and they are eventually introduced back into the bay to help filter the Barnegat Bay waters.

Junior Sailing Program Support
The junior racing incentive program has been reinstated with clothing rewards furnished by the Foundation.

Ocean County College SAFE Sailing
The Foundation supports the Ocean County College’s SAFE sailing program which is dedicated to the proposition that sailing is for everyone! SAFE offers, beginner sailing experience to the community and directed towards non-sailors using specially accessible boats for people unfamiliar with sailing and boating and have adaptable boats for people with disabilities, impaired veterans, the elderly, and beginner sailors.

Beach Haven First Aid Squad
The Foundation annually supports LBI’s outstanding volunteer EMT squad who always is available to us for support when needed

Homefront

Hudson River Community Sailing
The Foundation supports this great organization who eloquently states: “Whether you are a student attending a partner public high school, an adult learning to sail, an armed forces veteran in our adaptive program, a corporate client engaged in team-building, a competitor in our racing series, an experienced skipper in our membership, or a child in our summer camp - HRCS is dedicated to providing sailing education within a supportive, diverse community”..

Southern Regional Sailing
The Foundation annually supports the local sailing team who self-funds their activities to compete in sailing in New Jersey
